BGU-Brown Summer School on Neurotechnology – a great success

The BGU-Brown Summer School on Neurotechnology took place at BGU in the summer of 2023. This intensive course, designed to expose graduate students to the world of neurotechnology is a joint venture between The Gordon Cohen Neurotech Hub at BGU and Brown University Carney Institute for Brain Science.  On November 16th, Prof. Limor Aharonson-Daniel, VP for global engagement met the students from BGU (on zoom), and Brown (in person), together with Professors Oren Shriki, Christopher Moore and Stephanie Jones, course developers and lecturers. The meeting was attended by A4BGU CEO, Doug Sesserman, Eve Rubinstein, the Cohen-Alperts (Teri Alpert being the live spirit behind this endeavor) and Ina and Lewis Heafitz who supported the program. Prof. Aharonson-Daniel: “Beyond the academic value of this unique educational experience, the strong connection formed between the Israeli and American students through the joint social experience was obvious in the meeting. This is exactly what I had hoped for". In the meeting, a five year program for the course was discussed and agreed upon. Registration will soon open for the Summer of 24 course that will take place at Brown. We look forward to hosting the Brown students at BGU in summer of 2025!!
